IN 2018, OUR SWIM LESSON PROGRAM CHANGED TO THE Y’S SAFETY AROUND
WATER PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM TEACHES CHILDREN OF ALL AGES AND FROM
ALL BACKGROUNDS THAT WATER CAN BE FUN, NOT SCARY. SAFETY AROUND
WATER FOCUSES ON WATER SAFETY AND SELF-RESCUE SKILLS THAT HELP
PREVENT DROWNING. STUDENTS DEMONSTRATE BASIC COMPETENCY BY
LEARNING BENCHMARK SKILLS THROUGH VARYING STAGES OF CURRICULUM.
KNOWING HOW TO BE SAFE AROUND WATER IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT

CAN SAVE THEIR LIVES.
