THIS PROGRAM TEACHES CHILDREN OF ALL AGES AND FROM
ALL BACKGROUNDS THAT WATER CAN BE FUN, NOT SCARY. SAFETY AROUND
WATER FOCUSES ON WATER SAFETY AND SELF-RESCUE SKILLS THAT HELP
PREVENT DROWNING. STUDENTS DEMONSTRATE BASIC COMPETENCY BY
LEARNING BENCHMARK SKILLS THROUGH VARYING STAGES OF CURRICULUM.
KNOWING HOW TO BE SAFE AROUND WATER IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT
LIFE SKILLS WE CAN TEACH OUR CHILDREN. IT GIVES THEM CONFIDENCE, AND IT
CAN SAVE THEIR LIVES.
Parent/Child lessons: Introduces infants and toddlers to the aquatic environment. Focus is on exploring body positions, blowing bubbles, and fundamental safety and aquatic skills.
Registration: January 13th-January 29th. Program dates: Feb 4th- Feb 27th. Class dates and times: Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00-6:45pm. Cost is $40 members and $60 non-members.
